Mr Mark Whiteley of The Whiteley Clinic has introduced the Laser Sweat Ablation (LSA) as a local anaesthetic treatment for arm-pit sweating.

In the past, liposuction for arm-pit sweating (axillary hyperhidrosis) has been performed. This has now been superseded by the laser treatment - LSA. The laser treatment not only destroys the sweat glands, but suction is then used to remove the tissue that has been laser treated.
