Doctors and
others trained at The Whiteley Clinic
The Whiteley
Clinic introduced "keyhole" vein surgery (also known as
"pinhole vein surgery", "Minimally invasive vein surgery" or
"Walk in walk out vein surgery") to the UK in March 1999.
The specialists
in The Whiteley Clinic have continued inventing, innovating
and pioneering these techniques.
Over the last
few years, several Doctors, Surgeon or Hospitals have
suddenly declared they are "pioneering" these techniques -
almost 10 years after we actually started the pioneering
process!!!
Unfortunately
many have managed to get into the Press, especially on
Television, enabling themselves to make these claims - none
so far to our knowledge have acknowledged our role in the
development of these techniques and - in several cases -
actually teaching the surgeons who are claiming to be
"pioneers" the very techniques that they are reportedly
performing.
Several of our patients have
told us that they have seen surgeons or doctors who have
"been trained" by The Whiteley Clinic and are using the
"same techniques".
Although it is true that we run
training courses, everyone attending them is issued with a
certificate - so you should ask to see it and can e-mail us
with the Doctors details so we can confirm if it is genuine.
However, please remember that
the world of vein surgery is progressing rapidly - and The
Whiteley Clinic is at the forefront of these developments.
Therefore unless the training certificate is current and
also our "Advanced Training", then they are not using our
current procedures and treatment processes and pathways.
At the current time, the only
Doctors and Vascular Technologists that are using The
Whiteley Clinic processes and techniques, are currently
working within The Whiteley Clinic.
